Can anyone shed any light or point me in the direction of any documentation about Lake Co.'s conversion to the Safe-T digital system?

Only thing I have heard is rumor that they want to switch to it once they complete the 911 dispatch consolidation....but nothing set in stone.

I dont know to much about the consolidation but I think I remember reading in the paper theres a 2014 deadline but that was years ago.
Without looking at the database, I bet Lake is one of the last counties to transfer. I assume thats because of the size and $$$$ that goes with changing the radio systems?
In two years I bet the scanner technology will advance again, something the Lake Co. consumer might consider while thinking of buy a new scanner.
