Lake County Favorites List?

Anyone care to share a favorites list for Lake Co.? Need it for a Uniden HP-1.

Was there a few months ago and all public safety agencies, Sheriff's Office, County Fire and all municipal police agencies were encrypted. A few years ago when they went P25, fire dispatch was in the clear, but that is now also E.

So I have discovered. Nothing to listen to above 150mhz so have resorted to shortwave bands.

About the only thing you can listen to are the Lake County hospital MEDCOM talkgroups and some of the little town Public Works folks.

I packed up the HP1 and have moved to SWL on an Icom R30 and MLA-30 loop. The noise floor in this campground is S9 on AM, S7 on ssb.

So are you saying Lake County Fire and Sheriff are NOT accessible on digital scanners like the Whistler WS1040 - due to encryption?

Correct, all public safety encrypted.

FYI, there is a linked p25 amateur radio repeater system consisting of 4 vhf sites. Excellent coverage in and around Lake co. These repeaters should be hitting the database soon.

146.850- NAC293 West Lake P25 WN4AMO

147.345+ NAC293 South Lake P25 K4AUS

147.390+ NAC293 Central Lake P25 K4AUS

All repeaters linked on P25. P25 takes priority. NAC293 is used in and out on all sites. System has wide area coverage.
