Looking at ADS B Exchange I noticed a Lake County Sheriff Helicopter. I remember back in the day Winthrop Habor had helicopters serving Lake County but I heard that is no longer the case. When did Lake County Sheriff get their own?

I believe that Lake County, Indiana has one or more helos but not sure about Lake County, Illinois.

This is correct. Lake Co Indiana has 2 helicopters, Lake Co IL dose not have an aviation unit.

Lake Indiana has both a Airbus H120 and a Bell UH-1H, The Bell is used for firefighting as well

On the site yesterday the helicopter was identified as Lake County Sheriffs and it was in the Lake County area. I guess it could of been from Indiana flying through the state.
