Also if you can, listen to Fox Field, the tankers and Helo's will be in and out of there

Can you confirm AT55 as belonging to CAL FIRE? My state load shows it as a federal channel (esp. since 168)

Starting Thursday (today)
Lake Air Tactics 166.6125
Lake Air/Ground 169.2875
Lake Rotor Victor AM 124.725

AT55 is a federal designation, not CalFire, but all aircraft regardless of agency will refer to it as "Air Tactics 55"

For fires, air freqs that are "preassigned" to the Forests, Units, Air bases etc are all for Initial Attack (IA). It's so during dispatch and the chaotic initial attack period where aircraft respond directly to the fire, every aircraft responding knows instantly what frequencies they'll be on, no question. If the fire goes extended into the next day, they will order new air frequencies overnight. That frees up those initial attack frequencies for new starts the next day.

Try 167.950 this morning for Air/Ground. It either replaced yesterday's A/G, or one of the A/G's went to Command and the other went to Tactical A/G.

----------------

Branch (Fire) just requested 1 more LAT - will be Tanker 131? from San Bernardino Tanker Base - SBTB has 3 more LATs ready to go

I don't think the yellow super scoopers have arrived yet to LACoFD contract. The super scoopers being used were contract aircraft from another organization I believe.

I think its time LACo to actually own some scoopers! But I have seen two scoopers out on the Lake Fire the last few days.
