Hello
I’m looking for any information about Lakewood’s “Fire Ground Frequencies”
I’ve heard them refer to channels 15 & 16
I’ve also tried searching for any information to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Craig

Try the 3 MARCS conventional / talkaround frequencies. These are very popular fireground channels. They are listed in the Ohio database.

I've heard them on some of the Westcom TG's on large events.
Try Westcom-2 13509, Westcom-3 13514 and Westcom- FG 54691.

15 - West FG 2 851.175 DPL 263
16 - West FG 1 851.075 DPL 263

These are simplex so you would have to be pretty close to the scene to hear anything.

Lakewood Fire calls 13514 "Channel 15". The RR database labels it as Westcom Fire 3. Every time I have heard LFD switch to fireground, it has always been "Channel 15" (13514).

There's a fireground repeater in the command car (radio ID: 1891834) that relays the simplex channel to this talkgroup.

The database is off. What is listed as Westcom 3 is actually Westcom 4 which Lakewood's FG gets relayed to. The one listed as Westcom 2 is actually Westcom 3 which the Westcom cities and North Olmsted get relayed to. Westcom 2 is Lakewood's main dispatch TG. The MARCS FG is not used.

If you’ve confirmed this by monitoring, please submit to the database.

I hear that TG used all the time by Lakewood even for "minor" incidents like elevator entrapments.

The one listed as Westcom 2 is actually Westcom 3 which the Westcom cities and North Olmsted get relayed to.

For some reason I never hear anything on that TG. Whenever the Westshore FDs switch to FG during a major incident I get nothing. I've always assumed there must be another FG TG that isn't in the database.
