The other day I was on I-75 and I watched Lamar Co. pull someone over but never heard anything on their frequency. Does anyone know if they move to another system like p25 or 800 digital? I've noticed a lot of the counties in and around Atlanta have or are moving to the digital stuff. It sucks for me because I listen to them on my amateur radio.

Lamar county and the city of Barnesville are now using Hytera DMR digital. Still on UHF, but now they are using DMR. No scanner can decode DMR. You can listen with DSD software and a discriminator tap, not sure if they are using the encryption feature on their Hytera system, but I can ask someone who knows.
