It has been a while since I have been in the area. Does Lancaster County fire still dispatch and operate on the low band channels? Thank you for your help!

Still active on low band for now. The end is very close though.

This is a reminder that all low band communications will be permanently shut down on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 starting at 9:00 AM. This includes low band paging, low band siren activation, and low-band repeating of Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie talk-groups.

Update: The Lancaster County, PA Lowband (33-Mhz) Fire/EMS Radio System is scheduled to be taken offline today. Those who wish to continue listening will now require a Digital P25 Scanner (~$400) or will need to listen using one of the online streaming broadcast services, like Broadcastify: Lancaster County Fire/EMS: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie

What in the world is 72.58mhz!? I've never seen or heard of this in my 15 years of scanning LanCo.

Interesting 🤔. I am sure that LCWC has discontinued transmissions on 33-Mhz, but there are other Fire Stations in the County who have their own licenses for 33-Mhz and do have Base Stations.

Perhaps they are re-broadcasting the Dispatch Talk Group for the P25 System?

There seems to be a long tail on the transmissions these days. Today's catch. I did look over at the scanners for a brief time and both 33.900 and 33.920 were being used.

VHF low
