Thanks for the information.

"List of talk groups approved for public release". I don't know why, but it bugs me. They make it seem like it's secret. Just post a list and be done, if the talk groups listed are encrypted it doesn't matter. you know?

"Public release" sounded kind of funny to me too. I found this wiki (http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Lancaster_County_(PA) and if you scroll down it has a break down of the talk groups (minus IDs). I don't understand what some of things are. I've heard talk groups that sound like police departments' private talk groups so maybe things like that won't be shared. If I can get the fire, ems, and non encrypted police I'd be happy.

Indeed, everyone will be able to figure it out later on. Once the system goes completely live I am just going to leave my scanner on all day any log everything and make notes of what ID's are on which channel more than often, there was a few private agency ones over the weekend.

No need to be cynical. The approved list includes the encrypted talk groups, and all but a few are clearly identified in the list that I was given by the Deputy Director. All of the county law enforcement, fire, EMS, and many other talk groups have been composited from the PDF into more detailed information for the DB admins to put online. This has taken me 4+ hours and I am calling it a night for now.

I am still working on the 3rd part of the list that includes all of the general purpose and public works municipal talk groups for townships and boroughs, which is also quite lengthy. Given that there are literally hundreds of talk groups it may take a while for admin to post everything to the website, but the point is that the county has been forthcoming with the information in a timely fashion when asked.

Thanks for your efforts. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Would you mind attaching some of the stuff here for people to check out ahead of time?

Can't edit my post. I got a copy as well emailed to me.

I can understand why it did/will take away to figure out which name goes with what. The list is huge.

I just read there is an error with the data base, everyone was thinking TG 1111 and 1110 is the prison, it is actually the Youth Intervention Center.

If locals can listen and clarify what entity these talkgroups are for, that would be great. Based on the information provided, I don't know if these are for the Constables or the Conservation District or something else. Sometimes, I can make a decent guess based on the rest of the system layout, but this one remains obscure. If they turn out to be Constables, I will move them to the law enforcement category. I suspect it is Contrables since the channel breakdown (geographically) follow that of the PD dispatch channels.

1000 Cons NW
1001 Cons SE
1002 Cons Central
1003 Cons South

The Police and Fire is pretty much what i had expected it to be but where is EMS?

What do you mean?

A few pages back it showed some of the stuff.

EMS is on Dispatch A, B and C. During big incidents they'll be moved over to one of the OPS channels. From what I understand.

There is a map for which agency is on what dispatch.

Thanks. I had seen something else that appeared to have ems on their own talk groups. There was a wiki posted that I can't find right now. I guess that part of the information was wrong.

Nah I don't think so.
They got the three dispatches. The routine channel. Hospitals and individual agency ones. They'll be moved over during incidents. There was a thing posted awhile ago that showed stuff. It showed EMS in its own thing with a few talk groups but it was just like it is now.

Just read an email someone got from County. There will be NO FURTHER AGENCIES put on the new system until January because of issues.

The rest of the police MAY get on the system sometime in December, everyone else is "Atleast January".

Thank you for posting the rest of the info. That saved me a lot of formatting / typing.

As soon as you said you got it I shortly got an email alittle after with mine. Typed out a lot of the muni stuff.

I'm curious why YIC is on and not the prison. I thought for sure that's what it was. But they were talking about classrooms earlier.

Hopefully everyone gets on the system by January.

Metro PD 3004 didn't make it in to the database. Also the womans and babies TGID's are the same in the database.
