Anyone know why the Fire/EMS Live Feed has been discontinued?

I took it down because people went off the handle when the feed was down for a few mins at a time. The also, complained even more when if the feed went down and I couldn't reset the router.

Or the one person that would constantly send complaints to Radioreference/Broadcastify saying the feed has issues when it didn't. Other people verified that it was working, I checked that it was working and even the Admins checked it, it was fine, it was on the users end, but still my fault.

I'm not talking about non directed complaints. Either they'd get on facebook and complain, or they figured out who I was on facebook through other people and sent direct messages complaining up a storm that I "had no right to let the feed down for this long!" - Actual message.

Other they'd know someone who knows someone else and they get my number and call or text complain on there. I got a text last month from one person, pretty much every hour stating the feed was still down and I needed to get it back up soon.

So that's why the feed is down, and that's why I will never host a feed again.

There were and are nice people. This is the case of a small minority ruined it for everyone else.

WOW!!! No wonder!!! The nerve of some people!!! You host/setup/run the Feed for FREE!!! As the old saying goes "Sh*@" Happens! Technology fails, stuff goes down. If people want to complain, have them set and run a feed!!! I'm not a 247 listener but when Lanco would have a Working Fire or bad MVA, I'd pull it up!!! To go as far as contacting you personally to complain...thats just messed up!!!

As of 2330 when I left the house for work, my 996XT was still receiving the system fine.

Not sure what's wrong on my end then. I haven't changed anything, and yet I get nothing from the system. I can receive York just fine and they're basically the same system.

It looks like they added a few freqs to the system since I last programmed the system in my scanner. Since I have a Pro-2096, I have to program a base freq and offset. With the addition of new freq's, would it have changed those settings to something else that I would need to alter that setting? I can't think of any other reason why the system would just stop receiving like this.

I guess now it's really time to upgrade my scanner anyway

Found out tonight that a Fire/EMS Feed is back online! Sounds pretty good! Just a tech moment here but if I may ask what scanner/radio is being used?

A friend of mine is hosting it since i stopped hosting it. i believe it is using a gre desktop scanner. his goal is to have it using a uniden 536 later on.

The scanner was donated I believe from the Radio Shack in New Holland for the purpose of the feed. Not sure which scanner though.

I thought it sounded like a Whistler/GRE/RadioShack! I have 2 Whistler WS1065's in different places of the house for my counties P25 Conventional. Also have a BCD436HP in my room/traveling!

Is this what you were looking for?

These settings no longer work for me after the county changed the system around. My 2096 has been silent on the P25 system for months. I can't figure out the new settings. I'm back to listening to low band.

While I was in Lancaster County yesterday running DSD+ searching the UHF band I was coming across a P25 channel on 453.8375. It showed with a NAC of D61 and was showing on the screen of my Pro 668 as D2. I looked up the frequency thinking it might have been a new P25 system for Lebanon County to replace their EDACS. When I looked it up I found a Lancaster County license (WQXS560 (LANCASTER COUNTY OF) FCC Callsign Details) listed as Christiana but on the Chester County side of the border. License lists 3 other UHF pairs but I didn't get anything on those. DSD+ was also fluttering on 453.8375 between P25 and NEXEDGE96. Didn't pick up any voice traffic on this frequency.

Does anyone know what this could be? Is it part of Lancaster County's trunk system or something else?

Christiana Police cover Atglen borough with a dedicated car. It's probably an extension of the trunked system for them.

Is it still "Beau"?

I had a friend who lived in Atglen a few years back, and he was friends with everybody, including "Beau" the cop and Nick from the chicken place....

Is anyone able to monitor the system with Pro96com and send me the tower.txt file? Trying to get all the Channel ID tables confirmed.

I would do it myself but I'm slightly out of range...
