I recently read in the Rappahannock Record that there was a new police radio system that was "up and running" but didn't give any further details. Does anybody know if they joined the regional system from King & Queen County that was rumored several years ago? Or did they form their own system? I see some new looking licenses in the FCC database, but I can't make any sense from it. I won't be down there for several more weeks or I would have searched around myself.

From what I can gather , Northumberland has joined as well , and won’t be online till May I’ve heard . I’ve seen Lancaster with Harris radios , but still hearing Analog radio traffic . I’m going to guess they are probably waiting until May 2026 as well too for Lancaster county .

It looks like Lancaster County licensed 5 UHF pairs for a trunking system managed by King and Queen County Emergency Services: WSDL510. Five tower sites, likely simulcast. 453/8.875; 453/8.6875; 453/8.5375; 453/8.375; and 453/8.1875. If it's on the air, one of those is the control channel and could be found.

Also, I found a reference to the system's actual / new name in a FCC filing: ""Upper Middle Peninsula Regional Communications
System", a multi-county, UHF P25 Phase II Trunked Radio System." I'll attach the document.
