That's aweosme that they were so open to scanner use in the second article. Hopefully it goes better than the Opensky fiasco.

I also hope coverage will extend to Hbg, so I can give it a listen when I'm in the area. Currently the old freq's dont real half as far. It sucks because you can hear York in Dauphin and Dauhin in York, and you can hear parts of Y&D in Lancaster, but not the other way around. Hopefully the TRS makes tri-county TRS coverage available for listeners.

I wonder who will win the bid.

Did anyone tell them about the TV propogation up & down the coast on T-band? Its getting so bad several countys in NJ are moving off of T-band .

I was just about to buy a BCT15X brand new for $200 on weds. Then now the county got approved. No idea if its digital. So I dont know if I should still jump on it, or just get the 996xt later. blah

It is 100 percent definitly going to be a digital system.
The question is how much longer now until it's fully operational.
I would save up for the digital scanner.

If you need any help let me know. You also might want to give York's P25 TRS a try... You'd be suprised how far away that reaches.
