when do they plan to encrypt.

I know from a "state official" that we will be joining another network ie interoperability.

Ao what do you guys think are we joining NESR or ORIAN?

Also from my understanding as a former dispatcher out of south Dakota its a pain in the @$$ to maintain an encrypted radio.

also you thing they will use cheaper and easier to obtain DES-128 radios or do you think they will blow the budget on AES-256 (key cycle) radios?

***note this is just purely educational no encryption is bad bs

Update found the NESR system in 850 band

As title states the system seems to be at 850 mhz now too see attachments
