Lansing PD has been silent for the past couple of days on the conventional channel of 155.610 which they have used for a very long time. Does anyone know if they switched to a new system or what has changed?
I noticed the 800 mhz too, I'll give it a try, thanks. Is it possible that they're now using P25 on either their VHF or on 860.7375 (their old MDT freq)? I'd try to verify myself, but I'm too far and I haven't been in that area for while.

From the article:
"According to LPD Supervisor of Communications and Records Brian Weis, Lansing and Calumet City are the only two municipalities in the area that have not already converted their systems to digital."
Any word on whether or not Calumet City PD is still dispatched on their legacy 800 MHz analog repeater?
Cal city is still using 800 mhz. I would like to know the TG for lansing if anyone knows itHas anyone ever found the TG that's (reportedly) used by Lansing PD? The DB shows them using SC21 (Cook County Sheriff's node?). I went through Calumet City and Dolton last weekend and didn't hear or receive anything on either VHF or 800 MHz.
Yes, Calumet City PD is indeed still using analog 800 MHz and was fairly active when I was there. I was referring to the frequencies that are licensed for Lansing. Even if we do find their TG, it's ENC as the attached articles state would happen.Cal city is still using 800 mhz. I would like to know the TG for lansing if anyone knows it
What's 8600?I heard 155.610 active just now (March 30 2024 1530) with P25 but didn't get the 8600 on it in time.
Icom IC-R8600What's 8600?
OkIcom IC-R8600
I am using my Pro-2006 with an Optoscan OS456 and Probe to run searches of 1MHz chunks of spectrum and leaving it going for days at a time. I'm now slowly going through what it found. 155.610 popped up with obvious P25 data but I couldn't get the Icom tuned in in time to demodulate it.
