The City of L.A. is again accepting applications for Police Service Representatives (Dispatchers) from 8:00 a.m. Tuesday 7/8 thru midnight on Thursday 7/10. Salary range is $53,348 - $80,116 annually, with trainees generally starting at the bottom step.
The initial assignment is designated as a "temporary training position." Employment in this position will be limited to twelve months, during which time employees must successfully complete a comprehensive training program. Upon successful completion of the training program, employees will receive regular appointments to the class of Police Service Representative and begin a six-month probationary period in Communications Division.
Website is City of Los Angeles - Police Service Representative, Job Classification 2207 and when apps are being accepted there will be a live link to the application form (must be completed online).
IMHO it's important to read the "Supplemental Questions" tab, especially #6 thru #24. It's just about the best job in the world if you're cut out for it, but there are down-sides to be considered, as with anything.
