A suspect in a gang-related shooting last week was barricaded in his home Tuesday night after eluding police in a chase, authorities said.
The area surrounding the house, near the intersection of Wentworth Street and Roslyndale Avenue, has been evacuated as SWAT team members try to peacefully resolve the situation, said LAPD Officer Jason Lee.
The suspect initially fled from police at about 5:40 p.m. when officers tried to pull him over on Sheldon Street near Arminta Avenue, Lee said.
