Story I heard now is that the company had just lost their AAA contract, and was working out of their area chasing wrecks, showing up at wrecks and playing the "I'm from AAA" card and then trying to charge them. Police caught on to them this time around, and when they called him out and told him to sit in his truck and stay there while they sorted stuff out he took off.

The story I heard is that the officer questioned the driver about his license ( probably the Los Angeles Police Comission License)
