• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

If the laptop is runnng the same operating system (usually Windows) as the software is written for, yes. HOWEVER, I am not familiar with the radio, and the software may not run correctly, especially Windows 11. You need to check that before trying anything else. Windows 11 uses different version for many programs that uses the USB port, and older software will not work on the latest Windows version. Some older radios I have even require DOS.

The last thing I have from Harris, dated February 2017, shows RPM is compatible with the following:
Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2
Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, and Windows 10

I don't have anything newer than that. However, I do have RPM on order as well as a new Toughbook 55.

I do believe RPM 14 is the latest and it is compatible with the XG-100's

Looks like Windows 10 is common on Panasonic tough book. I’ve got a copy of RPM that should run on Windows 10

Just loaded it on a CF-20 with Win 11. Bluetooth read / write does work. That's as far as I've tested. Work with a file soon & test that. You should have no issues

If you plan on putting P25 trunked systems in your Radio , you would do best to use RPM10. RPM 2 requires license keys for the trunked systems that you add.
To use RPM10 you will need code XGP 2A26. I believe RPM 14 has the same requirements as RPM2.
I am running RPM2. R13B on Win11 without issues.
I have found Toughbooks to be quirky at times with earlirer versions of RPM2 on XL185/200 M. Radios and SitePro controllers.
