Laptop issue

Instead of using a Chromebook for digital thanks to advice on here I have a laptop with win10. The only issue is it has one Jack for headphones or mic and my west mountain interface needs two separate cables- one to speakers and one to the mic. Has anyone used the mic/speaker combo adapter for digital?

I'm not sure what you mean by "digital." Are you talking about FT8 or something? The splitters will work just fine, as long as you get the right one. It will split the single jack to separate mic/speaker cables just fine.

Yes going to use for ft8. How do I know if I have the right one?

The male plug that goes into your computer should have 3 rings on it, making it a 4 pole connector. Note the 4 distinct gold sections. It should look like this:

That is in comparison to the headphone/speaker/audio splitter that you don't want, which looks like this. It has 2 lines making it a 3 pole connector:

Just ordered one-wanted to make sure I got the right one as there are different ones out there.
