It would have been heard easily on 151.205. Ionia county's disptach.
I was there.. it was well...uneventful. Considering we were called from 20 miles away to a 'large fire engulfing a city block with hazardous materials'... it was pretty much a done deal by our arrival. Not too much firefighting went on, steel truss roofing collapses pretty quick under heat, most work was done with tele-squirts and outside monitors.
It was thought for awhile that some hazardous stuff may have contaminated us, but air samples by GR FD showed no known toxins. (besides the typical stuff). We got decon'd and were home by 6 am.
This is the 2nd time we've been called to Ionia county on a county-wide event, and I'll say they arent shy about asking for help. Better to have too much help, then overwork the ones you have.
