Larimer County Emergency Services, Livermore Fire Department, and the U.S. Forest Service are working a fire reported near County Road 82E and Boxer Ranch Road currently estimated at 5-7 acres. Initial smoke reports came in at about 12:30 this afternoon.

Residents in the area north and south of CR82E between CR80C and CR67J including Cherokee Meadows Road are being notified to be prepared to evacuate if needed.

U/D; Our fire is increasingly active with an estimated 80 to100 acres now involved. Apparently we also have one structure destroyed. It is unknown at this time if it is a residence or unoccupied out building or ranch structure. Additionally, a Type III Team is being assembled for over all incident management on this fire. The Incident Command Post will be established this evening at the Livermore Elementary School and will no doubt be in use for several days to come. Three more engines have just been ordered to the staging area at Co. Rd. 80C and 82E. That would make 10-12 engines on scene currently. The fuel type is predominantly Ponderosa pine and grass. More later as soon as we are advised.

The fire is now approximately 200 acres. More engines from neighboring jurisdictions have been ordered and are en route. Still no word on the nature of the destroyed structure. Also of note, for those who have large animals and are contemplating or will be ordered to evacuate, the Ranch Way Feed West Barn at "The Ranch" (Budweiser Events Center). Personnel are available and signs are up to assist those who may need to use this for evacuated animals.

Law ops for this fire is on Larimer SO TAC-4 Talkgroup 9153 DTRS. Mostly in the clear. Unfortunately some units have the encryption turned on.

The Stuart Hole Fire saw little growth overnight and is currently at 200+ acres with 0% containment.

There have now been two to three out building structures damaged but no residences have been damaged at this point.

Management of the fire has been transitioned to a Type 3 management team today. Tony Simons of the Larimer County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services group will continue as incident commander heading up the management team.

It is anticipated the weather may be a little cooler today but strong SE winds up to 30 to 40 mph are possible.

We continue to utilize the type 3 helicopter and the SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker). Requests have been made for a Type 1 helicopter and a Type 1 heavy tanker for today.

Additional hand crews will be on scene today bringing the number of personnel working the fire to over 100.

No injuries have been reported.

Travel on roads in the area of CR82E and CR80C is being restricted to residents and their assistants only.

Evacuations remain in place for 13 homes in the Boxer Ranch subdivision along Boxer Ranch Road. 53 homes north and south of CR82E between CR80C and CR67J are still on alert and should be prepared to evacuate if needed. The evacuation center is located at the Livermore Community Hall at 1985 West CR74E.

Large animals from the evacuation area can be taken to the Ranch at I-25 & Crossroads Boulevard. Pets and small animals can be taken to the Larimer Human Society.
