Larimer Fire/EMS Monitoring

Hi!

I'm in Denver and selected Mt. Thoridan as the site and Larimer for all of the TG.
However I'm not hearing any traffic is there a different site I need to select?

You might be to far away to pick up Loveland site or even Horsetooth mnt site but i would try those for starters

Might just want to listen on line with a thousand of your friends, very little Larimer traffic with be affliated with Thoridan.

This is assuming you're listening to Larimer in general, not just the fires.

From Denver, it seems Bald, Buckhorn or Horsetooth would be the best to try. They boom down on me here on the south side of metro Denver and they pick up most of Larimer County. I can get 5 bars with each of them if I have my scanner positioned right. The city ones (PVH and Loveland) don't reach very far and the other mountain ones are very limited. Also, the metro Denver ones don't have much Larimer at all.

Bald north does have amazing coverage and does carry a lot of TGs. I have it first in my scan lists for Larimer and Loveland. Its second in Longmont's list, too. Mead may also work? I will keep an eye on what CCs I am picking up when I monitor during my commutes next week, and pass them along to you.

try horsetooth much better coverage for whats happening up here
