Bought it 5 years ago.

Magnet broke on mount, antenna bounced off the side of the truck, antenna coil broke internally, quit working.

Does anyone know how to take it apart?

It had a rubber plug on the upper side of the coil, but cannot see where it comes apart.

Was told that there is just a resistor and a coil inside and that it is repairable.

Does anyone have any info - how to get it apart?

Just buy a new one. One you take apart a mobile antenna, you have a 50/50 chance of it being sealed properly.

As noted by Kayn, they are cheap.

Unless you know your antenna theory, don't try to repair it. The number of turns in the coil, the spacing between the windings of the coil, etc. all affect antenna performance. If you don't get everything right, your antenna performance will be crap.
