Larson Tri-Bander and Scanner Noise

I have a Larson 150/450/800 Tri-band antenna mounted on my trunk using a Laird trunk lip mount with 17' of coax. It is connected to my Pro-97 with a bnc connector. Although I get good reception, on every single frequency, no matter which band, there is a faint buzzing noise in the background during transmissions. Seems like the scanner is overpowered with this antenna or something...It gets signals better but also more noise. The audio is not clean anymore like it would be when using a ducky connected directly to the scanner. Does anyone else experience this?

You may be picking up ignition noise from the car.

You're right, When using batteries i get no more noise. only when using ac power.
