CNet News, reporting from the Blackhat/Defcon 2010 Conference, announced that the GSM-Sniffer Project has announced the availability of the AirProbe.

The AirProbe tool will allow those with the necessary hardware to intercept and decrypt GSM calls.

The 'necessary hardware' includes older GSM phones, such as the Nokia 3390 for 1900MHz networks and the 3310 for the 800/1800MHz networks in use in Europe.
