I get all the Fire departments on my BCD536. You should try it. You might like it better.

That person might not actually own a physical scanner. 
There's always using a "cheap USB TV tuner" + Unitrunker + DSD+ and there's OP25 as well as potential other methods of monitoring locally. I see the North Las Vegas Fire feed is up presently (5 listeners) but nothing for CCFD or LVFR on Broadcastify, it's kinda rare to see a feed just for those anyway.
