• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Too difficult to figure out?? Okay, kids, take my hand and we'll go to the computer. We'll start at a site called Google where a search window will come up and you'll type "Unication" or even "Unication promotion" if you want to get fancy. Like magic a number of websites and maybe even pictures will appear leading you to a wonderful world of information. For advanced users, you might even directly enter www.unication.com and see what happens. Go ahead and give it a try - you can't break it. I know, kids, it's just so much easier to be hand fed everything you ever want to know in this world, but in adult life you may actually have to do some of your own research. Good luck, it's not easy out there!

I'm not surprised by your answer at all. You'd rather work longer and harder at saying this kind of crap then to give a simple helpful answer.

I'm not familiar with Unication and how they market their pagers. I thought possibly you were referring to a particular dealer.

If you go to the Unication USA website, finding the current promotions seems pretty obvious to me.

This also could have been an ebay special. I bought my G5 on ebay 2 years ago from, as it turned out, an authorized dealer and got an additional 10% discount off the already reduced sale price.

Telling us where might be helpful!

You won't find a more helpful and dedicated source than EAST COAST PAGERS. Phil is active on here and goes out of his way to help people. He offers podcasts and The Scanner School. If you want to know about the current promotions and deals I strongly recommend checking with @w2lie through the websites above.

Thank you @N1GAW for the kind words!
Yes, today is the last day for the promotion. Any US Unication dealer should offer the promotion. You can also find the promo running on the UnicationUSA site if you want to buy directly from them. My suggestion is to price shop.

You'll also receive a free 5 year warranty with any G1 - G5 pager during the current promotion.

Obviously, don't expect to see a pager under your tree if you order today ;). Santa's sled might be fast, but it isn't that fast.

I should have explained that the 10% discount was a one day ebay-only deal on electronics.
