Just saw this last night when updating all my 436 FL's in preparation for migration to the SDS-100. Props to Uniden for adding this!

We have a number of fill-in sites for the NJICS that share frequencies, including the ones used by the CC/Alt CC. I'm assuming that if I set the site NAC's, the scanner will blow right by the site during scan if it finds a CC, but the NAC is a mismatch?

Now that is a feature we have longed for for a LONG time.. MOST Statewide systems repeat freqs, and having a way to lock it onto specific sites and KNOW its really that site has been pretty much impossible. Til now apparently! For example SAFE-T has a few that can confuse you, especially the Franklin, and Sheridan sites that use the SAME CC, and are rather close together... With this feature, folks will be able to know for sure which they are hearing. Especially in INDY where you can get them both rather easily. Now as an admin I have to say it is now more than ever essential that folks SUBMIT ALL site NAC's!

You are correct but only if the NAC code is saved. Blank=search NAC and will stop and monitor CC

Where do you see a nac selection for p25 sites? All i see is one under the system options.... Do not see one under any site options or settings?

SDS100 has it per site, x36HP has it per system (but I'm not sure that actually works).

Umm there is NO way for it to work on an X36... Not for a wide area TRS, that has multiple sites with a unique NAC for each site. It would be pointless to do such a thing as a system NAC for anything but a single site system. Now the SDS100 is a complete other animal.

For the X36, maybe a WACN, but again, that is just for the whole system, and is only really useful for like a small single site system and yes guys, a simulcast is a single site. May have multiple towers but it is still a single cell.

But if the SDS100 can actually utilize the unique NAC of each site in a larger multi site wide area system, that indeed is a very useful tool indeed. Coupled with Location Based Scanning, it will make it literally a piece of cake for monitoring these larger systems... With the caveat that we have to have EVERY SITE in those systems logged with correct NAC, and GPS coordinates in our DB.
