I saw a new SC Highway Patrol car by the roadside with what appeared to be a mag mount antenna on the roof (not on the trunk deck) with at least a 4 foot whip. It could have been a 42 mhz antenna since low band is still used off a remote in the Oconee mountain areas. Then again, it could have been a CB. It had the large magnet/coil base of one of the better antennas.
