Lawrence County P25

Has anyone seen any info on Lawrence County doing any P25 or in the process of switching over?

Nothing heard here, where have you heard this from?? Lawrence County, Alabama (AL) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

I have a ham friend that was talking about it. He said homeland security was working with all alabama counties to switch over there radio stuff. He did say It was going to take some time due to money and stuff.

There has been some discussion of a North Alabama Regional P-25 system but nothing even remotely concrete.

There is a story here on the sheriff's race and if you read the whole thing there is mention of a new computer aided dispatch system, I assume a p25 system

The first one is referring to a new computer system to aid dispatchers with taking calls and dispatching appropriated units as well as electronic records keeping. The second article refers to the Law Co 911 board postponing a vote on whether or not they will rotate calls between Greg's Ambulance Service and County EMS/Terry's.
