After programming the 1040 with arc I can't seem to get the backlight to light up during a transition... Where do I find that option

Global settings -----> Light Mode
tried that.... still not lighting up during a tx
I'm obviously forgetting to check a tab or something...
I've followed the directions laid out in marks manual...
I did have it working before I "fixed" the error msg I had going on... After reloading the new database is when it stopped...
