Is anyone using sdrtrunk - the sdr application- to monitor the LCRA system? I have used sdrtrunk, DSDPlus and op25 with various SDRs. I prefer sdrtrunk for a number of reasons. It at most times works wonderfully. I have used sdrtrunk with the RTL-SDR and the Airspy Mini. I have used it on Windows 10 computers and on Ubuntu 18 LTS. On occasion it will lock on to an "Event" or transmission. It will indicate it is receiving it, it will display talk group, radio i.d., channel and all the related info including the time and duration. But the audio display panel will not show the Talk Group or Alias and there is NO AUDIO. Additionally and as expected, if I am recording, there will be no recording. It is baffling.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I can be monitoring the same system with a conventional hardware radio such as the Uniden BCD536HP and can hear the transmission. I have also used the program "op25" on another SDR as well as "DSPLus" and both setups will copy the traffic but not sdrtrunk. I also have tried to use sdrtrunk on another nearby LCRA site with the same problem. It is totally baffling. Is there something unique in the LCRA system that could be conflicting with sdrtrunk? Otherwise sdrtrunk is a great performer.
