I see that Lebanon's (Boone County) Safe-T tower is operational. I have identified the following talkgroups, so far: 12432 - ISP District 14 Dispatch, 1568 - INDOT Indianapolis Northwest, 1824 - INDOT Indianapolis and 1792 - INDOT Indianapolis.

I live approximately 18 miles to the East (Westfield - Hamilton County) of this tower and I am receiving 99% control channel strength on my Pro-96. I'm able to receive ISP Districts 51, 52 and 53 from the Indy tower, now I can monitor ISP District 14! Four ISP districts! This is great!

Though, I do wonder why I can't hear ISP District 52 (Boone County is part of this district) from the Lebanon tower?

:D Four State Police post- now that is impressive. I was wondering what kind of antenna you are using and if you are in the city or rural area. And our you just programming the control channels of these towers. Thanks for any information with reply.

I'm using the Radio Shack 800 Mhz antenna. A great antenna for $15.95. I live about 1.5 miles WSW of Westfield. I live in a subdivision and I am surrounded by subdivisions to the south, west and north. Also, I'm only programming the primary and secondary control channels into my Pro-96.

I live 2 miles straight east of the tower in Boone County (Tower is located at the Boone County Jail on the South side of town). This tower does have Dist 52 on it. I also hear Districts 14, 51, and 53, 4 districts on one system. In addition to that, I can hear Danville Fire, DNR both North and South, DOT's out of Indy, and a DOT for Cloverdale. It's rumored that Boone county sheriff will be making the switch sometime in 2005 to this. Zionsville may still go with MECA in Indy. EMA for Boone County might be getting the VHF radio's the Sheriff now uses. That's pretty much all the info I know...

First of all welcome to the board! I'm from Lebanon and visit my family there often. I have a question on the Lebanon Police Department frequencies. Does the LPD use the same freqs as the Boone County Sheriff? The database on this board only lists the sheriff freqs (http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&ctid=698). If this is the case, I assume that LPD also uses the sheriff dispatch. Thanks.

Yes you are right. LPD uses the same freqs as the sheriff. Same dispatch. I actually submitted updates yesterday to the radioreference database.

These are the freqs and everything is in simplex, no repeaters.
155.130 Base, main dispatch, and also used for car to car.
154.890 car to base Northern half of the county
155.685 car to base Southern half of the county

They also use a PL of 127.3

Thanks for the welcome, I stumbled across this sight when I got my 796 and was looking for indyscan. I use to be big into scanners until I got my ham ticket and that took over for a couple years now I'm back to scanning and ham'in!

Ham freqs for Boone county are 147.105 pl = 77.0
and 146.500 simplex

Thought I'd throw those in since they aren't listed.
