I'll be in the Lee County area 11/15 through 12/05. I will be doing some testing in the area and looking for some recommendations of what and where to scan.

I haven't been through Lee Cnty in awhile. Last time I was able to hear F/R and picked up some other systems from hotels to the airport. You won't able to hear anyting on SLERS Edacs/P25. Hendry County F/R you may hear on Slers Edacs not sure if it will hit any Lee county sites.

If you’re coming to Lee County, Florida is P25 2 and all PD’s and SO are encrypted. FD and Med units are in the clear. Utilities, schools are also in the clear.

If you’re in southern Lee County, give the Collier County P25 phase 2 system a try with the Naples Simulcast sites. My SDS100 does a decent job on this system but often misses parts of the transmissions, usually the first part and the replies (such as “copy” after a transmission is received). Enjoy the sunshine!

Landed late yesterday evening and grabbed a bite to eat, then finally made it home. I set up the SDS150 with the stock antenna and let it run. Listening to some of the recordings this morning.

I will be visiting Fort Myers beach soon myself. Is system 1 Cape Coral and System 2 Lee county simulcast? And what's on the 700 mhz Fort Myers east system?

Did that on my SDS100 as well as my Unication G5 when I was over by Fort Myers Beach. Was able to get a perfect reception with nothing cutting off

My home 20 eating pizza.
I picked the wrong time to miss a month of the Uniden forum. Until I saw the name I thought SDS150 was a typo. Looks like I have a lot of reading and a YouzeTuber video to catch up on. Sounds pretty good on Lee in the brief time I previewed!

Here in Lee County Florida I have from a reliable source that all including Fire & EMS will be going encrypted. So as a Test I loaded the full database, turned on all services but Fire, EMS & PD's to see whatI would be receiving. Here is my findings so far: DOT, Garbage trucks, Schools, some Air, no FED, Buses, Rangers in state parks and local beach rangers Florida Power and Light trucks. Other than that crickets. Note I have none of the add on purchased with the exception of the waterfall. Any other locals with something I'm missing let me know so I can try to add.

Thanks
Larry

There’s a live audio feed for Lee Co fire and ems.
Maybe give it a listen and see if there’s any activity.

Oh all are still unencrypted but knowing from a radio guy that they are going to be I was looking to see what else is here. Not much that is of real interest for me. I just unselected those.
