I have a question on the current posting of the DMR frequencies for LeeHealth's hospital security. The DMR channels were working up until about 2 months ago. I did a recent look up on the License number and found the below information. The emission (7K60FXE) is a 2 slot DMR (TDMA) system. They have four campuses which match the GPS coordinates. I am thinking they switched to a DMR Cap+ or DMRIII system. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could start to figure this out. I have done some research but am not that well versed in it yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Cape MHLee Memorial Hospital - Security DMRSecurity

Hey there! Loving the interest in scanning Lee Health PS! I am actually an employee at Gulf Coast Medical Center and I am friends with a lot of the public safety officers there. From my understanding, they operate three main channels- Public Safety, Maintenance, and Emergency (used for when emergencies are paged, such as a Nurse STAT, which is used when a visitor experiences a medical emergency like a slip and fall). I don't know too much about scanning these channels, as I do not have a DMR radio at home (I have an APX). I have actually researched this before out of curiosity and here is what I found (from the FCC ULS Database)

All of Lee Health's frequencies are listed under one main license, "Cape Memorial Hospital dba Cape Coral Hospital" WPZZ791

There are four main hospitals listed on this license page, each hospital having two marked locations (one fixed/repeater, one mobile/handhelds).

GCMC for example is listed as locations 7 and 8. The hospitals are not directly labeled, but you can tell which is which. (locations 1/2 are cape coral hospital, locations 3/4 are lee memorial hospital, locations 5/6 are healthpark medical). For some odd reason, I could not find the frequencies for Golisano Children's Hospital, as I am assuming they are under a different license.

Unfortunately my internet browser is giving me issues and I can't pull up the ULS page, but you get the point. The frequencies aren't labeled on the ULS page, so you will need to experiment with this and see which frequencies are for PS and which are not. I know at gulf coast, the channel name on the radio simply says "GCPS" (gulf coast public safety).

Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any questions!

my experience - ULS and the FCC licenses are a good start.... but inevitably, channel X that is supposed to be used in Y city... ends up being used in Z city/site

the only way to really figure this out is to use some type of decoding software on the freqs - like DSD+, and even then, it does take some sleuthing to figure out each site.
