For now I just setup the lee country new P25-2 as favorite I called (Favorite 0) , system type - P25 X2-TDMA, setup ID:search to ON, so it will scan for ID's until I can download the updated database in few days.. so for now the ID's will show as Unknown but is ok for now.. see picture

Check the version and that the proper scanner type is selected you should see it from the drop down list.. my scanners are SDS100 and TRX-1 and are P25-2 Capable's

All fire & EMS along with FMPD and LCPA PD/Fire have moved to P25-2 and are encrypted. LCSO still unencrypted guessing till all reprogramming had been completed. Guess the good listening is over.

I checked on RR and cape FD shows talk groups now. They have new listings- it’s says D in the for Digital.

No dropdown list - only choice is P25 Trunk
if you are creating a new system you should be able to see all systems types list you can configure.. try this video
and follow it .. just enter the frequecies you will need based on your area..

I have several scanners and multiple favorite lists. All the lists just show P25 Trunk as the system type in Sentinel. This includes the new PA state system and our new county P25 system.

All - I just checked Sentinel - the updates that were posted ARE AVAIALABLE via the "update master dB" function.

non-listed TGs mentioned above will have to be entered manually.

If you append the Lee County system from the database to set up a new Favorites List, and then make changes to it (renaming TG's, deleting TG's), what happens when the database changes and you append it to your Lee County Favorites List? Does it overwtrite the changes you made before, or just add in the new changes?

that's a really good question. I am most certainly not an expert on Sentinel. My >GUESS< would be that it "APPENDS" the new data.... meaning that for instance TG 12345 - if that TG changed from XYZ FIRE to XYZ EMS .... that Sentinel would change it to EMS.

but that's just a guess..... perhaps a better question for the Uniden forum where there are people a lot smarter than myself around.

:)

I suggest that with the growing pains of a new trunked system that you're just gonna have to get your fingers dirty and program in the newly discovered talkgroups manually.

Who knows? Some of these labels here might be wrong so you'll have to change them anyway, so why wait around for the RadRef db to get updated when you can have instant gratification?

This is kind of a fun part of the scanner hobby where you get to play sleuth. Unitrunker can be very helpful in identifying which units visit which talkgroups, and that can inform you of whether it's a police or fire or dog catcher channel at least.

Not sure what several of the database TG's refer to. I Googled them with no luck::
- does 21250 CCFD MN mean CCFD Main?
- 24007 ENGH?
- 24008 FMH?
- 24010 SPH-PC?
- 24014 NP ER?
- 24016 SP-CC ER?

please see this post (from me) in this thread.

We (the DB Admin team) get submissions all the time. Sometimes we get good "alpha descriptions" - and sometimes we get what's posted above. Sometimes google can help. Sometimes it cannot. Since the data submitted seemed to be good info - it was posted - almost just as it was received. those 5-6 digit alpha descriptions --- probably what's programmed into the radio as the top display channel name.

no one from your Florida admin team lives anywhere near Lee County --- so we are 100% reliant on the locals / visitors to help out.

without data from the locals, the dB won't ever be 100%.

so that said -- you are correct.

We have no idea what "ENGH" or "FMH" or "NP ER" etc mean. Hopefully someone local can help.

I live in lee off of Country club Blvd. I added what was on the RR database and I get nothing on CC fire. I hear the trucks moving sirens and all and nothing on the radio. I am getting very frustrated. Bought new radio and still only get the Lee County Medical????

Those are the old TG's. The feed has been up all this time, and the TG's are still listed from the old system.
