    Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued.     The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Although this isn't either GMRS/FRS/MURS, this seems to be the most appropriate sub-forum for this thread. I am aware of the Motorola DTR radios and the Tr-Suaare, both of which operate on 902-928 mHz. Anyway, what I am wondering is if it is permissible in ITU Region 2 to get any commercial transceiver, program it for any frequencies betwee 902 and 928 mHz, and operate legally at 1 watt or less? Now I know that there are some limitations on GMRS/FRS/MURS, but could a person at 1 watt use ANY antenna? Also, if there any limitation on what equipment that can be used? I know that FRS is supposed to have a fixed antenna and GMRS is supposed to be licensed. I guess one example that I am wondering about is if you could legally use an amateur radio on that band? What I am considering is using an Alinco DJ-G29T. Can that be used by non-hams legally at 1 watt or less or are there some other restrictions on that band that require a different type of radio? It looks like Motorola has made some 900 mHz gear, so would those be permissible for non-hams at 1 watt or less in the US or anywhere in ITU Region 2, for that matter?
