New to the board, wanted to say hello.
-- Lehigh County 911 was looking into 800Mhz frequencies and 500Mhz frequencies. With 500Mhz frequencies being used by Bucks - Northampton and New Jersey counties non were available.
They tried to obtain some 800Mhz frequencies but unable to due too Nextel services and other problems, The City of Allentown just tried and was rejected.
Lehigh "Might" be looking into a 700Mhz radio system once the band becomes more available along with a imediate upgrade to a digitial radio system.
Sometimes u wish counties don't upgrade, however if they do it now the technology in the scanners might be more available than down the road in acouple years.
