In town tonight, and noticed that Liberty University's Police Department is using the CVRCS edacs system.
TALKGROUP 1121, CLEAR VOICE
This talkgroup had been used several years ago (pre-STARS system) by Virginia ABC agents in the Amherst/Bedford/Lynchburg area for surveillance operations, using unencrypted ProVoice.
I had heard from reliable sources that LU's public safety components were going to migrate onto the new P-25 CVRCS system. But apparently they have moved over while it is still EDACS (Project-16). This could possibly have been moved up given visit to LU next month by POTUS.
LID 11652 appears to be the Dispatcher.
