Anyways, so I can pick up some kind of Control Channel at work


looked up the license on the FCC Site
Call Sign is WNQU906

Whats up with the 'range'?

806-821 is the SMR band which is right below the NPSPAC 821-823/866-869 band and the
licensee is an SMR provider.

looked it up, that was one of the definitons.

A communications service at 800 MHz and 900 MHz. Traditionally used to provide dispatch operations over analog networks, SMR now includes digital networks offering integrated dispatch messaging and cellular communications




So it could be a Cellular Provider or something like that?

the Control Channel is 858.56250

You're looking at the repeater input frequency - 813.5625 is in the 806-821 range. (45 MHz split on the 800 MHz band.) "YX - SMR, 806-821/851-866 MHz, Trunked"
