You're still within your grace period so it needs to be done before December 29th. Otherwise you will have to retest. click here and scroll down to "How do you renew your license?"

I just did the renewal process. I let my license expire 5/28/24 and since I haven't been active for a while I hadn't noticed. Has anyone else renewed after expiration during the grace period recently. How long did it take them to review and approve? Last renewal was practically immediate, this one so far is still pending after one full weekday.

I had to log into ULS and start the renewal application. You need your FRN and log in as before. I had to reset my password. License renewals now cost $35 for the 10 years. You will also need to log into CORES to pay for the renewal. If you do not have a CORES account, you need to create one and then associate your FRN. None of this was particularly hard, it just took time and paying attention. A little bit frustrating, but not too bad.

It certainly could be made easier.

My license isn't renewed yet, but seems the FCC has added additional steps to approval. Looked up "Red light review". They check to see if you owe funds for any other licenses or any enforcement penalties. All this obviously adds time to the process.

Looks like a renewal was applied for one day and the red-light review was completed and payment confirmation were done the next day. I don't see an issue.

Took longer than times before. I was just curious if anyone else's experience was that it took longer if it had expired. I didn't know if it would take days or weeks. It was renewed this morning. It took 2 business days which is pretty quick since there were extra steps. None of them will probably be virtually immediate as before, now that there is a fee to be processed and the redlight test.

I did, a little more than a year ago. The request was processed in a few days. The biggest hassle was having to pay on a separate website from the actual renewal.

IIRC, I was three months past my expiration date.

Yes, same about a year ago, I think some of the new payment processes just went into affect then since it was no cost before that and it took way too long to do on 2 separate sites, Hard, no, time wasting, yes. Fortunately, only every 10 years. I would guess that on time and late renewals would not differ in time, but I could be wrong. They will take your money one way or the other!
