I got my notice that its time to renew my license. I really don't care to pay the ARRL fee's to do this. I went on line to the FCC website and thought I had completed it, this was 3 weeks ago and no email confirmation and nothing in the mail yet. You can renew online can't you???

Look up your license in the ULS database and see what the grant, effective and expiration dates are.
Nowdays that is probably the only way to tell if your renewal was completed.
The last time I modified my license was several years ago. At that time they didn't send email confirmation.
Now they don't even send paper licenses any more unelss you request one.

You have a login on QRZ.com, so you can simply look yourself up and check.

According to your FCC page you submitted a renewal on 12/21/2015 and the action date is 12/22/2015. Because your original expiration date was 03/18/16, your new expiration date is 03/18/2026. It looks like it's all taken care of.

Actually, no. They still issued paper licenses up to spring of 2015. I even received one in April, but I had to request it. That was during the transitioning phase.
