Just added a Ventenna VT-SWL to my CCR-friendly antenna farm. (bottom, left) First copy was St. George Island, Florida on PSK31.

It joins a dual band Ventenna VT-27 (top) and a home grown scanner antenna (bottom, middle).

Aww shucks, and here I thought you had a farm field of antennas.

Out where I live, we have some guys who get real serious about contesting and put up a farm of some massive towers. One guy even has a full size 3 element yagi for 40 meters (!). I envy him.

Pppfffttt. You're not an antenna farmer until you grow a rotatable 160/80M beam.

So if I water a 10m beam on a small tower, will it grow up to be a 160/80? ;)

Guys, please keep this discussion to the topic of RECEIVE antennas - we have a different forum for ham antennas. Thanks

Mike
