• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Has anyone found what frequency or what system LifeEvac III out of West Point is dispatched on? Currently LifeEvac I uses a UHF repeater while LifeEvac II uses a UHF LTR system. Maybe they are using an LTR system that covers the West Point area?

I understand that they were possibly going to use 463.9250 [173.8], which is a community repeater licensed to Gately Communications (KNJN279). No confirmation as to whether they are actually using this freq/tone.

Thank you and let me know if you are able to confirm. I will try too but I am sure I am out of range. I have heard them in Northern Virginia on aviation frequencies. I also heard them accidently called by the dispatcher on LifeEvac II talkgroup. I hear the daily testing of tones on LifeEvac I and II respective repeater/talkgroup but no LifeEvac III.
