On DTRS Airmed 1 I just heard "Lifeguard 8" going en route to the Beaver Creek World Cup event. "Lifeguard 8" used Radio ID 422202. It appeared that Lifeguard 8 was not responding to any specific incident, but instead was en route to a "temporary post" somewhere near the event site. Does anyone know if Lifeguard 8 is from another state, or...?

I heard LG 8 safely on the ground at Beaver Creek at 10:34 am (about 15 mins ago) on DTRS 2808. Before that I heard them ask if they got ahold of Steve Zuckerman and the comms center said he was expecting LG8.

Also the radio ID that I heard LG8 using today was 422204.

I thought LG8 was just a temp call sign for any Flight for Life chopper assigned to special events.

Yeah I mistyped that one, I just checked a note from earlier this morning and it was indeed 422204. Based on proximity "regular" Lifeguard 2 would be the closest ship (Summit Medical Center), so could this be LG-2??

L/G 8 is indeed a temporary call sign assigned to a FFL ship covering special events.

What I've noticed in the past, they usually send one of the regular helo to the special event (Nice and orange with all the right markings), and then replace it with the actual loaner ship. i.e.: N391LG goes to the event, and N109LN flies as LG1.

Not sure about this weekend. 422204 is not an ID I've connected to a ship.

What I THINK is
N391LG is radio 129213
N392LG is radio 244803
N397LG is radio 422203 (LG3)
N394LG is radio 422202
N396LG is radio 244802 (LG5)

I've logged 422201 & 422204 on AirMed1 but haven't identified them.

Yes, I think you are right about these... I've identified them as the same on AirMed-1 DTRS-2808.

N391LG is radio 129213 (L/G-1)
N392LG is radio 244803 (L/G-2)
N397LG is radio 422203 (L/G-3)
N394LG is radio 422202 (L/G-4)
N396LG is radio 244802 (L/G-5)

I believe 422201 is also an L/G-3 radio or spare for Flight-for-Life at the Colorado Springs St. Francis Medical Center. I've heard them ID themselves as L/G-3 on that radio ID a couple of times. But it is possible that either the chopper was being swapped or just the radio.

422204 may also belong to one of the other choppers as a spare radio in the same way. I've also heard/seen 129214 and 129190 and they are probably related in the same way.

Also, their Comm Center at St Anthony's in Lakewood has a radio ID of 116641.
