No. Stillwater and Western Payne County recently contracted to have LifeNet EMS be the main provider for EMS rather then the Stillwater Fire Department to save money. The frequency is their new dispatch and ops frequency that will be use in this area.

Save Money?

There is no way this new ambulance service is going to save money Save money for whom? I now have an extra fee for a service I don't want from a provider I don't want.

Has anyone else out there read the documents? This should have gone to the vote of the people, afterall, the citizens of Payne County have now paid for six new ambulances which have been HANDED over to LifeNet. What a mess! A five-year contract for a company that doesn't even have a place to park their newly gifted vehicles.

And since this may fall under "wacky" and "conspiracy theory," here is the link to allay that coment:

Peter,

Neither am I. I am here to present just the facts, m'am. And when I see something posted that is not factual, I am ready to provide the correct facts. You stated the new service was to save money. This is incorrect and I simply corrected your error. Thanks ...

Honestly I could care less why they are getting an EMS service. Yes I said that based on what I was told. You are trolling looking for reason to talk about the politics of this issue and its obvious based on your posts and post history. If you want to talk about how Galloway and Bates are evil and all that then keep that over on the Stillwater watch dogs. Like I said before I am here to talk about radio frequencies and radio information. You are trolling like a bully looking for a fight. Please keep the thread on subject. Thanks...

Apology

I would like to extend my apologies to anyone - including Mr. Maguire - whose feelings might have been hurt. A thread, however, can not be off-subject when the response specifically addresses what is stated in a post.

I realize there are newcomers to Stillwater who may not have a basic understanding of the City of Stillwater; nor understand the dangers its brave and courageous first responders must face day and night even in a town of our size. Nor do they even care how or why or the importance of the city in response to emergencies.

Can one really separate the Medium from the Message? In some minds' the answer is apparently, "yes." Then in this case the information should, at the very least, be kept accurate and factual.

Nonetheless, it is my opinion it is impossible to ignore the human component. That is the men and women who do care about the City and its people from radio information. If there were no radio traffic regarding fires, traffic accidents, bomb threats, then there would be no need for radio information and frequencies.

I support our first responders and I support RadioReference for its support of first responders. We will never forget April 19, 1995 nor 911.

As of midnight today Lifenet is now Stillwaters EMS. Been listening to them post and other traffic but I do have to say they need to turn up the volume on the repeater as well as the dispatcher. It is very quiet. Anyway happy scanning...

Are they narrow-band? The lower deviation sometimes means you gotta turn it up.

Looks like the mode designator is 11K2F3E which if I decoded it correctly they are using analog voice narrow
band @ 2.5 Khz deviation.
That license also shows a 11K3F1D which appears to be a digital telemetry mode.

Yep they are still having audio problems. The repeater as a whole has low deviation but the dispatcher in Texarkana is very low in audio. The audio from Texarkana sounds like Air Evac Life Team but even their dispatchers are lounder then Lifenet's current set up. The radio techs are on it so I'm sure they will get it figured out.
