I was wondering how Lincoln's bad day system works or whatever they call it?

It's a set of talkgroups on the Lincoln-Lancaster system. I think intended for mutual aid and large incidents. Check the wiki, I think I posted the ones I IDed the day of the Marathon. I need to submit to the db too.

I'm not sure what the parameters are for activating the talkgroups. If 9-1-1 went down in the past week, I was out of town and missed it. What I can tell you is that during the Lincoln Marathon units were told to switch to a "Bad Day" talkgroup depending on their assignment. Form conversations I logged where units indicated they had to locate the group, I'm assuming these are their own zone in the radios. The TGs I have identified are:

08-061 (1073): Bad 1
08-062 (1074): Bad 2
08-063 (1075): Bad 3
08-081 (1089): Bad 5 (seems odd, but it was confirmed by voice traffic)

That's all I've got on these. I need to make sure they're plugged into my regular scanning list and try and see if there is more use.

Your welcome. I definitely missed the 2010 incident. Wasn't living here. Do remember a story about Amateur Radio operators activating to relay requests from the public to the ECC during the incident though.
