I had a caller today say he heard that Lincoln County police operations had switched to digital and they disappeared from the old analog channels (154.815 specifically).

It looks like they are indeed licensed for digital on several freqs both in and not in the database. Has anyone verified the use of digital or have further information?

I haven't heard anything about Lincoln county but I'm on Bradford FD(Penobscot county) and I've begun to hear chatter about going p25 in the near future, next year or two was my Lt's best guess.

I always thought it would be a long time before we say many digital FD's in maine but I would say I was wrong about that!

Yes, this is true..Radio Communications Managment (RCM) (a Harris, Selectone, et al dealer) has submitted a proprosal for a countywide , 7-site repeater system for the Lincoln County SO and for centrlaized countywide dispatch and fireground channels for all municipal fire depts in the county...details are still trickling out about this.
