LOCATION: I-70 Eastbound lanes at milepost 371. (Near Genoa, CO.)

On 7-26-08 at approximately 7:33 P.M. Troopers responded to both lanes of
I-70 at milepost 371.
A brown 2004 Chevrolet Venture van was traveling eastbound on I-70. The
vehicle went off the left side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and
the vehicle came back onto the roadway and went off the left side a second
time onto the center median. The vehicle continued within the center median
and struck the median crossover embankment and went airborne. The vehicle
then rolled two times and came to its final rest on all wheels facing in a
northerly manner.

The unrestrained driver of the Chevrolet Venture has been identified as a
21 year old male of Wichita, KS. The male driver was ejected and sustained
fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Lincoln County
Coroner.
An unrestrained 19 year old female passenger of Wichita, KS. has been
identified. The passenger was ejected and sustained fatal injuries and was
also pronounced dead on the scene by the Lincoln County Coroner.
Both names of the deceased have been with held due to next of kin
notification.
A nine month old male of Wichita, KS. was also ejected from the vehicle
during the rollover and sustained moderate injuries and was transported to
the Lincoln Community Hospital of Hugo, CO.
The infants name is being with held due to next of kin notification.
A restrained passenger has been identified as Gary Wilson, 66 of Wichita,
KS. Wilson sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Lincoln
Community Hospital of Hugo and then later airlifted and transported to
Denver Health.

Alcohol, drugs and speed are unknown factors at this time.
This incident is still under investigation.
Next of kin have not been notified.
