There is a repeater in/around Lincoln county/Dawes county that is an analog tie to NWS North Platte. Anyone have the Freq/PL for it? I can't seem to find anything in the database at the moment that fits.

I remember hearing NWS stuff on 453.725 around Lincoln. I'm not sure if its used in other areas or not.

Hmmm, I'll have to stick that in. It was heard on an audio feed for the area and haven't heard back from the feed owner yet. Sounded like an area mutual repeater or exclsive PSAP to NWS machine.

Maybe if you could tell us what feed you heard it on. RR does not show any feeds for those counties. If you were hearing DTMF tones with excessively long open squelch, it would most likely be the NAWAS system. There are three repeaters that rebroadcast this over air that I know of.

I know the guy that runs that feed. I will email him and try to have him respond here.

This is NASWAS that you were hearing if you were listening on the feed below. If you are not familiar with NASWAS is mostly telephone based, but there are a few emergency ops centers that broadcast it. (National Warning System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) In my feed listed below, I have 156.000 out of Grand Island programmed. It does have a very long squelch tail and consumes a lot of the feed during severe weather. During severe weather, you will hear National Weather Service out of Hastings, North Platte, and even sometime Cheyenne, WY reporting to local PSAPs regarding watches and warnings that are issued.

On a side note, they also run NAWAS role calls with all the states a couple times a day that are kind of interesting to hear. This would definitely be a good frequency to monitor during a major disaster.

Other known NAWAS rebroadcasts in Nebraska are 453.650 in Lincoln, and 155.745 out of Sarpy County (Omaha metro area).

No DTMF. My guess was this feed: Broadcastify - Custer County Nebraska Live Audio Feeds

Again, it appeared to be PSAP to NWS, no idea what the daily use would have been. There are no matching descriptions in the RRDB that stood out.

On my feed scanner, I have 156.000 programmed in with a tone search (essentially CSQ) and I am logging hits. I see that it uses both 77.0 PL and 127.3 PL regularly. I have never followed it close enough to determine how they differentiate traffic with the two PLs. I would program it as CSQ or tone search as there is not much else around that uses the frequency. If you program with only one of the two PLs that are used, you will miss some traffic.
