I think that it is just you.
Go to
http://www.lavasoftusa.com and download Ad-aware.
After you install it, UPDATE the software to get the latest definitions before you scan your computer. Whatever it finds, delete. It is all bad.
Next, click on Tools > Internet Options > click on the last tab that says "Advanced". Down in the lower right-hand side click on the button that says "Restore Defaults".
DO NOT CLICK OKAY.
Click on the next tab to the left that says "Programs" and click on the button that says "Reset Web Settings" and click on "Yes" in the new window that opened up.
NOW CLICK OKAY.
Cycle the power on your computer and everything should be good to go. Be sure to run Ad-aware on a regular basis.
